Can I use the “Co.” (short for company) acronym for my fictitious business name as I file a DBA for my small business?

I’ve been doing a lot of research into filing a DBA for my business but for whatever reason I cannot find a straight answer to this question.

I want to add “Co.” at the end of my DBA but do not know if it would be acceptable.
